The importance of appropriate ventilation and filtration is apparent in several aspects of fecal sample testing: from odor to biohazards to the chemicals used during testing.

Fume Hoods are generally the most common configuration used for fecal sample testing because they offer the most containment. Sentry Air offers a variety of sizes of Ductless Fume Hoods, which utilize a recirculating air pattern that does require external ducting or costly replacement air. This ductless system is possible through the use of powerful fans and high-quality filtration media.
Filtration media is selected for fecal sampling based on the need of the customer and application. If the operator simply wants to remove the odor from the application, an Activated Carbon filter is installed; if the operator would like respiratory protection against airborne bacteria, a HEPA filter can also be installed in addition to the Carbon filter [HEPA filters are up to 99.97% efficient on particles 0.3 microns and larger]. Specialty-blended filter media [i.e. Acid Gas] is also available for those working with specific chemicals.
Other beneficial features of Sentry Air Ductless Fume Hoods include energy-efficiency, quiet performance, portability, and low maintenance operation.
Sentry Air offers 12″, 18″, 24″, 30″, 40″, 50″, 60″, and 70″ Wide Ductless Fume Hoods. Custom designed Fume Hoods are also available.
